Default whats the best power-adder for 97 GMC 5.7

ok my truck's power mods are airaid intake, MAF,throttle body spacer, programmer, msd igniton, wires, plugs, headers, catless y-pipe, dual exhaust but now i don't know what next i should do? And what company Makes the best(most power) Blower, nitrous, or turbo for my truck? Any help would be great cuz i'm stuck now that i got all these parts but i'm still not satisfied. And i want to replace my seats with the new stock buckets. My cushions got 180,000 miles on them its like sittin on a pile of wood. Anyone got some power bucket seats that will fit a 97 GMC extended cab i'm interested.

Take a look at the "vs." sticky. It should get you started thinking about what you want next.

This would work nice, it willl bolt on and the stock 96-2000 Vortec 350 PCM can drive ANY high impedance injector. http://magnacharger.com/images/highr...0Photo%201.jpg

The stock L31 350(as well as the 305) uses 19 lb/hr poppet style injectors. The FPR and injectors are actaully inside of the manifold right in the middle of the airflow thru the plenum, very restrictive.
teh 19 lb injectors are not replaceable with larger units, they limit hp to around 400 crank or 330 at the wheels. The most NA power I have seen from a NA Vortec intake manifold is on a 383 with pocket ported Vortec iron heads, LT4 Hotcam and headers. If forced induction is used, extra injectors must be placed under the throttle bdy, but this method has inherent fuel distribution issues.
To over come this you can install a Ramjet intake manifold or this Marine intake manifold like I have http://www.sfatek.com/images/efi.jpg I am running 28 lb hr injectors, the marine intake comes with fuel rails injectors etc, the stock t-body can be used as well as thestock distributer and PCM, L31 style air intake systems also fit.
The larger injectors are exactly what L31 Vortec 350 owners need to use large dry nitrous systems, or forced induction or even heads and cam packages.

A tuning product called Tunercats OBD2 came out a year ago Jan. It is the only tuning software available for the Vortec 4.3, 5.0, 5.7 and 7.4 454. Its llows most changes teh Pro tuners can do but knowledge of tuning is required pretty much. I have used mine to remove TM,. raise shift points, increase shift firmness, correct for gears and tire heights, raised rev limiter to 5800 rpm, raised top end limiter to 255 mph etc, when I get a wideband/logger and scanner I will get into the a/f ratios.

I am looking into doing a dry nitrous sytem, people have seen 480 rwhp with 28 lb/hr injectors.

peace

how hard was it to install? How long did it take you to put it on? Did it just simply bolt up like they say it does? How much power is it putting out now?

That looks awesome I want a Procharger WOW.
That could use a Marine Intake for sure. Under $1000 to properly fuel the L31 Vortec 350.
No more fuel flowing thru the intake, better cylinder to cylinder distribution. MUCH less restrictive intake manifold(no inectors and FPR and fuel lines inside the plenum's airflow, designed for use on a 383 as well as a 350), no more FMU with extra injectors. Just get a 3.8 V6 supercharged W-body 2 bar MAF and start tuning, it plugs right in where the stock MAP is both physically and electronically.

That Procharger would bolt right on the Marine piece, the throttlebody is in the same spot as in that pic.

OH man, I wish I had that setup under my hood. Really really nice, do you have any dyno or boost numbers from that truck???

peace

that customer sold the supercharger setup to a guy with a 98' C1500. let me tell you that the kit does not bolt in nearly as well as procharger claims it does, but will go in with some minor work. in the tahoe we took it to the track less than 24 hours after the truck was up and running and went 13.8 with it and dyno'd 335 to the rears. at that point we found it was quite lean up top and never got back to the track with it after making some considerable changes. the guy who bought the blower system put it on his truck with the help of doctors of performance using the ramjet intake he also bought off the owner of the tahoe (that was going to go on the tahoe next). here is the track times and dyno numbers of that truck. and pictures
