Default loss of power in 6.0L

Get this...when driving in my truck and I floor it the volts drop from 14.5 to 11 and the engine loses a ton of power too. If i back off about 1/2 way the volts jump back up along with the engine power. I checked the belt and its ok. Any ideas?

Yeah the aftermarket alternator could be the problem.

You could have a faulty TPS (throttle position sensor).

Either that, or the General gave you an extra strong dose of Torque Management. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

I think I would have a shop check it out.

OK fuel filter changed and alternator back to stock. Volts dont drop now and doesnt bog as bad but it still feels extremely restricted. Kinda like a clogged shop vac hose. Any more ideas?

well i think we found the problem. Ran autotap and found that the truck only has 11.5 degrees of timing at wot. removed the maf screen and got it up to 13.5. Anyone know of anything else to get more timing untill I get lsi edit?
