Blocks of foam under intake manifold
I was installing my nitrous solenoids and plate last week and noticed there were blocks of foam under plastic intake manilfold in my truck. 06 silverado with a 4.8. Will it hurt anything to remove those blocks, or should I leave them alone? thanks in advance. By the way I also did the throttle body coolant bypass, will I have any issues with that?

Their primary design was like a noise baffle, GM said. But they do serve a purpose in protecting from debris. But without them it's almost like an Air Gap Manifold but I'd safely say you'd never notice a power gain from removing them, probably a little more blabber at WOT.
