Anybody know how to do a tune-up on 2003 F-150 4.6?
Need to change the plugs, spark plugs, & coilpacks on a 2003 F-150 4.6. The damn fuel rails are over everything. Anybody ever done this? I'm just gonna jump in and see what I can do, but I was wanting to know if there was any easy how-to's or don't do's. Thanks.

Best way to do a tune up on a Ford---->>>Sell it and get a Chevy
I don't know. I heard those modulars (if that is what this one is) are a bastard to work on supposedly it's like a 3 hour job to change the plugs for someone that knows what they are doing.
Good Luck!

For someone that knows what they're doing, it's abouta 45 min job on plugs. First timer, plan on a couple hours. Easiest thing you can do is pull the fuel rails loose.

if you have a good wobble socket 7mm, you can do it without having
to mess with the fuel rail. The hardest one is #5,
Take your time and do one at a time, remove the coil. then remove the
plug replace it and go on to the next.
Good luck.

well on the expeditions with rear ac #4 is the hardest #5 is easy and who takes the fuel rails out? 7mm wobble and u get the cop's out with no problem (#7 has the fuel reg. next to get u push the injector towards the rear and if u need unplug the injector to gain access). I have done like 10 5.4L and 6 4.6L tune ups not to mention all the cop's replacements i have done. with an 1/4 air ratchet u should be able to knock them out in 45mins.
