I am considering new wheels for my 2011 1500 6.2 2WD. Truck is stock except for a few appearance mods and I would like to purchase some BBS 20x9's that weigh 39lbs each. In addition install Yokahama Parada Spec-X 305/50/20's that weigh 5lbs more than factory Goodyear 275/55/20's. Hopefully in the not so distant future I will begin some performance mods but I don't want to kill performance by heavy wheels. I may stick with the factory wheels or I may look for something else but I'd like to know how much factory wheels weigh as a starting point. Thanks in advance for any help

alot more then 39lbs I know that. factory wheel and tire package probably weight ~110lbs

Ya, my polished aluminum 20s with the tires mounted are 80 pounds a corner. Wish my light little 17s would work.

Which polished wheels do you have? I see you have a Sierra, are they the 8 spokes?

Factory Goodyear LS-2's weigh 40 lbs each.....the Yokahama 305/50/20's weigh 45 lbs each. Both weights come from specs on Tire Rack's website.

They're Yukon Denali polished 6 spoke 20s. They fit the suspension parts good, but man they're heavy...

I'd like to have something both lightweight & chrome but not crazy bling, more like "business bling". My black truck has has had most of the chrome replaced with painted black so looking to keep a little chrome to bring attention to the wheels. If I had the $ I would buy a set of custom wheels.....but that is not the case

Weighed my stock 2011 GMC Sierra Texas Edition Rims/Tires, They weighed in at 78#.
