Personally I love the 06 grille and hood. Someday I want to swap my truck over to that setup. Can't wait to see how yours turns out!

There's 2 different 07 models, the classic model is identical to an 06.

I'm in the process of finding an 06 HD hood and grille that isn't ridiculously priced. I'm trying to figure out what the difference in a regular 06 hood and the 06 HD hood is if any.

All 06 models have the high rise hood like an 03-05 HD and yeah, when I bought my setup the hood was kinda high.

The 03-04 Silverado's all had the same (non-HD) hood, which had 2 "fang" like points that met up with the grille. The 05 had a flatter hood line along the grille, much like the 99-02 models and reintroduced the HD high rise hood back into the truck line.

As mentioned before, all 06-07c trucks received the HD hood, 1500 or HD. Which is probably why I really started to like what they were doing with the truck, even though I hated the 03+ styling up to that point. I especially like the chrome grille surrounds and HD combo but still prefer the 01-02 HD's overall.

See I didn't think there was a difference in the 06 HD and non HD hoods. I'm looking for one now. Thanks for clarifying fellas.
